I actually feel good about myself .
I told myself what I was going to do and I followed thru with it .
even tho there was pressure to do contrary to what I said, I stayed with my instincts .

Just Think About It .

so, it's 2:32 am, and I'm still awake and not tired for some reason .
Chels Tara and I went to Hemet tonight for a "get - together" at our friend Sydney's house tonight . It was fun, we met new people . I don't think we'll be rushing back there anytime soon, but I think we're all glad that we actually went . Just becus..

I have seriously, been going going going all week . Monday went to Bear, Thursday went to Lakers Game, Friday night Benjamin Button, Saturday had some old friends from La Mesa over, Sunday went to Hemet . I'm worked ! I am not gonna do anything this week probably . I am super tired just thinking about doing anything now .

I kind of realized that my favorite part of life, is getting undressed of all the things I wore that day and getting into bed.. it's the most refreshing, relaxing feeling NO MATTER WHAT ! so, I think I'm gonna do that now .

If This Is Being Sick I Don't Want to Be Well

This is what happens when you're sick, and your amazing friend Alysia offers to bring you soup, maybe some pirated software...

So she shows up, you feed her some beans and rice, maybe throw a Kraft single on top for good measure.

She's tired, she says, maybe she'll just stay over and do letter writing while I lay on my divan of illness. No problem. I could use the service time too.

Then, the camera comes out. So do the permanent markers. Soon wigs, eye-patches, magic wands, and mustaches find their way onto the scene.

The moral of the story is, never invite Alysia over when you're sick, unless you want to have an amazing time, and then die of pneumonia.

I'm feeling better already.

The Snow Glistened As It Was Shredded Into Pieces..

Yesterday when I was boarding, I'm not even kidding, it was like an out-of-body experience .
I just kind of told myself, that since I'm going to Mammoth for a week, I might as well get all the falling off jumps and all the mess ups done at Bear . I fell a few times but it wasn't like why I normally would fall becus I psych myself out it was becus I was getting so much air off of jumps and I was going so fast.. I just felt like I did a lot better than I normally do . But then again that's probably becus I was by myself and I had no one to impress !

Another unusual thing.. I didn't have to wear a jacket, it was pretty awesome . I felt so free .
ahhh, and this thing with my iPod being fully charged and then just dying when I get up there has to be fixed.. I can't snowboard without music, my headphones pretty much don't leave my ears.. ever .

Sunday Suprise

Pounded. Worked. Thrashed. That pretty much sums up my usual surfing experience. Trouble is, I love it. Today, after a super fun sesh of getting pounded, worked, and thrashed, I got to come home to a house full of amazing amigos. And we laughed, and we snorted (Alysia snorted), and we did the splits in from of the altar of Hot Fudge Cake. Above photo courtesy of Alysia, as were the good times provided tonight.

HOORAY FOR LAPTOP, LOVE! Welcome to the world of late nights Googling useless facts in bed... just because you can.

For much of my life, people have told me I look like certain celebrities. I can usually figure out where they're coming from, but sometimes not. The following is my list of long lost twin sisters.

Giselle Bundchen (pre-nose job) - I've got this a handful of times, and no complaints here. No one's ever confused us on the catwalk or anything though.

Franka Potente - I get this now and then, she was in Run Lola Run and The Bourne Identity. A lot of people love her or hate her. It could be worse!

Sandra Bullock - I hear this more often than I would like, and I don't see it at all. No me gusta. I have no idea where people see the resemblance. Pointy chin?

Claire Danes - Got this more when I was younger, still on occasion. I used to loathe her back when she was in Romeo + Juliet, but I have grown to like her and the comparison!

Ashlee Simpson (pre-nose job) - Oh geez, when I had black hair I couldn't go a day without hearing this! Fortunately for us, we got blonde hair, and she got a nose job.

Donna from That 70s Show - Only two or three people have told me this, but it's great because no one seems to know her real name, and I'm not going to look it up.

Fergie - Got this for the first time yesterday from Sydney Smith on Flickr, so she had to make the list. Exciting Fergie tidbit - She peed herself onstage in San Diego!


Brook Hogan - In New York, I got mistaken for her once, and that may have been the least flattering "compliment" ever. Hopefully it was mainly the height.

Gabrielle Reece - Ah, my twin soul. I have been mistaken for this pro-volleyballer-married-to-Laird-Hamilton-mom-pre-natal-fitness-DVD woman on more than one occasion and by far I get told I look like her the most and the most often. She's a classy lady and I'm down with it.

Who do people tell you you look like? Don't be shy, most of the people I look like either get nose jobs or are accused of having man-faces. I say, Embrace the strong features ladies! Rock what your parents gave ya!

If you're not sure, put a straight on picture of your face into this bad boy to make a personal celebrity collage and see who you come up with. My #1 result is William Moseley, the DUDE that starred in The Chronicles of Narnia. And I have no problem with that.

You best be starting that business ASAP, Alysia. Those pictures are to die for! Or at least, to get married for. You can draw up business plans on your new laptop (!) when it comes. I love getting real mail so much - packages, letters, postcards. This is probably even worse than when you were waiting for your phone to come!

I officially got a job as a personal assistant. How am I supposed to keep tabs on someone else's life when I can barely keep my own together?!?! This will be interesting. Also, I saw an episode of What Not To Wear last night and I've decided at some point in the future, my no makeup + wife beater + stretchy pants + sandals look will have to go. Le sigh! I'll have to hire someone to dress me I guess. Or be a nudist as I've always dreamed.

Mixed Feelings - Shaken, Not Stirred

Disneyland yesterday! Many mixed feelings about Disneyland at this point. I will always love it, and yet I don't exactly know why we go. I have a hard time believing it's the rides, or the food. It's probably the company. The memories, old and new. Maybe just for lazy car rides to the Magic Kingdom.

We know exactly what we're getting when we go on Indiana Jones for the thousandth time, and Soaring Over California is far from a classic. So why do we go? I don't know. An escape? From what? Adulthood? Monotony? I don't know. Mixed feelings about it all. On one hand, it's an evil corporate conglomerate that charges outrageous prices for commodified childhood. On the other hand, it's a delightfully escapist, fancy free and business-free adventure.
Always a good time, however, and that is hard to argue with.


I'm taking a poetry class this quarter. I'll post my first draft of my first poem, inspired by my fat cat laying belly up in the middle of the living room in the next entry.

Last Night.. She Said..

I went to Sushi Deli and Urban Outfitters in Downtown .
it was fun ! the sushi was great and I bought some cuuute tops .

I'm getting more and more anxious as the day pass as to WHEN my laptop will be here ! I'm dying inside.. well, not really, I've lived 20 years without one I think I can wait a few more days . But still I can't wait .

Today, I'm going to take Mallorie and Tony's engagement pics . I hope they turn out good, we're gonna do it sunset style . So, hopefully the skies will be clear and it won't be windy.. and then they're taking me out to dinner. aweee, I love my best friends . :)

Feel Better Dahling

Ohhhhh dahling, you told me you were Superman and couldn't get sick!
Now apparently the germs have attacked.
Maybe it was kryptonite. I'm sorry.

Last night we had to go rescue Levi on the freeway, his motorcycle half exploded and he needed gas. The only good thing that came out of it was Tara and I having a gasoline fight a la Zoolander. But instead of Orange Mocha Frappuchinos, we ate cans of tuna and a Reece's Fast Break. Other than that it was an identical experience, all the way down to us bursting into flames.

Early Riser..

i woke up at 5:30am this morning !
WHY ! [well i know why, but why ! because i remembered that the DeCamps and Lewis' get into NYC at 5:30, and i wanted to make sure they got there safely.. they did .]

ho my gawd , i'm 19 right ?! so like usually when you're like 14, 15 you ask your daddy for a computer or a laptop . yeahhhhhh , well i never got one , but i'm SUPER ok with that , because now that i've waited 20 years to get one i am getting one that is pretty neat . ordered it last night so it should be here within the week . OH SNAP !

oh and other news , my best friends Mallorie and Tony got engaged last night !

I had wild dreams all last night, I think because I tried to go to bed at 8 pm. It backfired horribly and I didn't end up sleeping until the wee hours. In my dreams I was trying to to prevent my dad from moving to Australia (hah!), and I think Aishwarya Rai was in there somewhere too. Verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting.
